Ways To Ship Door To Door From China
There are 3 main ways of shipping: air freight, sea freight, and rail freight.
Door To Door Ocean Shipping From China
Door-to-Door Ocean Shipping is the process of shipping goods from China (country of origin) to any other region or continent via international ocean shipping and shipping routes. This service is provided by a freight forwarder who picks up the goods from the pick-up point and delivers them to the final location decided by the cargo owner. Unlike port-to-port shipping, door-to-door service takes the cargo transportation one step further to ensure the integrity of the transportation value chain.
Goods are picked up from (seller/manufacturer) – Seaport (customs clearance/shipping) – Received at the port of origin – Transported to the final destination by the cargo owner
The door-to-door ocean shipping services provided by Basenton Logistics are as follows:
Full Container Load Door-to-Door Shipping: This cargo occupies an entire container, whether it is a 20-foot or 40-foot container. If your cargo is large, it will be loaded into a full container without sharing space with any other shipper’s cargo.
LCL Door-to-Door Shipping: Also known as LCL, this mode of transportation is mainly for shippers whose cargo volume is not large enough to fit in an entire container. In LCL shipping, the cargo of several shippers will be loaded together in one container. When the vessel reaches the port of departure, it is the freight forwarder’s responsibility to separate them and then deliver them to the respective shipowners.
